Hello mighty companions,
As you probably know, one of the main obstacles to enlightenment is the addiction to problems.
Many people spend more time thinking about their problems than any other activity in their lives.
Problems come in many forms. There are the complicated ones, the serious ones, and the minor ones. And then there are the problems that exist only in your imagination, you know, the ones that keep you up at night going through a series of “what ifs.”
And then to add to this problem problem, is the inherent belief that you have many problems.
“Some [problems] spring up unexpectedly, just as you think you have resolved the previous ones. Others remain unsolved under a cloud of denial, and rise to haunt you from time to time, only to be hidden again but still unsolved.” ~ACIM
The constant emphasis on our problems leaves us feeling constantly tormented, out of our peace, and on a roller coaster of feeling temporarily high and powerful one moment and then sinking into despair and powerlessness in the next. Problem, solution, problem, solution, problem, solution, and so forth.
What if we understood that the compulsion to be engaged in the never-ending roller coaster of solving then inventing problems stemmed from our belief in an egoic thought system whose prime purpose is to keep us believing we are separate from our Source, fundamentally inadequate and not worthy.
“The world seems to present you with a vast number of problems, each requiring a different answer. This perception places you in a position in which your problem solving must be inadequate, and failure is inevitable.” ~ACIM
The fact is that your problems are not the problem, the attachment to the ego’s way of thinking however, is.
The good news is that there is only one problem, and there is only one solution.
The problem is inner conflict and the solution is always to bring the inner conflict to the SOUL-ution. Or, bring the problem – which is always fear-based and conflict-filled thinking, stemming from the belief in separation – to the Solution, which is Source/Love, or the inner reality of Oneness and Peace.
Turn to Love and free yourSelf.
There is no other solution.
“Above all, remember that you have one problem, and that the problem has one solution. It is in this that the simplicity of salvation lies. It is because of this that it is guaranteed to work.” ~ACIM
No matter what your problem seems to be, bring it to the calm light of love within yourself. We don’t need to further perfect our problem-solving skills in order to solve our problems. We only need to be willing to bring the inner conflict we are experiencing when believing in our problems – to the light of peace within, where we will realize there are no problems!
A few days ago, I had an exchange with Spirit about the nature of problems. The exchange started with me sitting silently and asking the Spirit “What is a problem?”
As soon as I asked this question and got myself out of the way, I heard the Answer: “The problem is your fear-thoughts.”
Then I asked, “What is the solution?”. . . and the answer was: “The solution is no-thought.”
Why? Because the solution to all your problems is in bringing your fear-thoughts to the stillness between your thoughts, for dissolution. God is in the space between your thoughts. And God is the answer to all of your problems. He will bring the light, love and healing to all of your problems (mental, emotional, and physical), because he will bring light, love and healing to your mind, where all your problems originate.
A Course in Miracles has lovingly taught me that the only problem you will ever have is a problem of separation, and the only solution is non-separation, or divine love, which is found in the space between my thoughts – no-thought.
“One problem, one solution. Accept the peace this simple statement brings.”~ACIM
And so the long story short here is that if we want to to get off the roller coaster of solving our problems in a way that only paves the way for the next problem to pop up, we need to learn to flex the muscle of bringing our problems to the SOUL- ution in each and every moment. There is no other answer to truly solving our problems, no matter how much we struggle and try.
This Answer is the way, the truth and the life.
When we are willing to stop long enough to bring our inner conflict to His grace, His love and His Answer, we will surely be restored back to our spiritual original, our conflict-free and peace-filled state. And it is in this state that we will surely be used as instruments of peace in God’s plan for the release of the world.
“Freedom from conflict has been given you. Accept that fact, and you are ready to take your rightful place in God’s plan for salvation.” ~ACIM
Much Love, light & true healing today,
